Leadership Development

Who is a leader? Do all of us have leadership capabilities? Is leadership a position or a role? How important is trust, sharing, delegation and collective ownership in building and strengthening lines of leadership? Is leadership in educational institutions different from leadership in other spheres and professions? The Centre designs and facilitates programmes that enable deeper engagement with self and in groups to understand leadership and explore its traits.

The Centre focuses on programmes for principals, department deans and directors, members of various committees and other seniors of HEIs — or those likely to assume leadership positions. The programmes introduce participants to various aspects and dimensions of leadership: understanding dynamics and actions, ethics and values, and the need for finding one's own innovative style that supports and strengthens institutions and their systems. Programme pedagogy includes immersive tours, structured exercises and outdoor experiential facilitation.
